  • Bug with homeloader.so cPanel - 11.52

    A new bug has been noticed with cPanel latest version 11.52 which caused an 'internal server error' , access logs shows that 500 error started at the time of cPanel upgrade being run.

    Error logged in apache logs:

    ++++++++
    [Thu Oct 15 10:49:30 2015] [error] [client 194.126.88.34] Premature end of script headers: index.php, referer: http://www.tinytitans.co.uk/
    [Thu Oct 15 10:49:30 2015] [error] [client 194.126.88.34] zend_mm_heap corrupted, referer: http://www.tinytitans.co.uk/
    ++++++++

    cPanel has confirmed that this appears to be due to a bug with their homeloader.so PHP extension (responsible for allowing cPanel users to load custom pear modules) and they are testing a patch that is about to be released for it.

    fixes applied : Disabled the line 'extension=homeloader.so' in server php.ini file (short term fix)

    Still waiting for the final patch from cPanel team

    Hi All,

    The final patch is in place, cPanel team has fixed this issue in 11.52.0.20. We are no longer seeing this problem with homeloader.so enabled.

    Thank You!
