  • Can't create mysql through cPanel.

    I was trying to create a mysql database through cPanel, and is showing as created. But I can't see it through PhpMyadmin. While checking the cPanel error log, I can see the below error's while creating a database.

    =============
    [2014-06-30 19:21:51 -0400] info [cpmysql] Creating MySQL database username_test123 for user username
    [2014-06-30 19:21:51 -0400] warn [cpmysql] Error from MySQL query: DBD::mysql::db do failed: Can't create database 'username_test123' (errno: 13) at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/Mysql.pm line 1196.
    Cpanel::Mysql::sendmysql(Cpanel::Mysql=HASH(0x2ddb 6e0), 'CREATE DATABASE `username_test123`') called at /usr/local/cpanel/Cpanel/Mysql.pm line 243
    Cpanel::Mysql::create_db(Cpanel::Mysql=HASH(0x2ddb 6e0), 'username_test123') called at bin/admin/Cpanel/cpmysql line 429
    =============

    Anybody know, why I am getting this. Help me please..

    You may need to check the permission or ownership of /var/lib/mysql
    I am not pretty sure about the ownership of above path, in fact it should be 'mysql.mysql'
